a taste of mexico

Sundance Kitchen & Cantina was created after two close friends from Mexico and New York decided to bring the authentic Mexican taco to Westchester County.

The authentic taste comes from family recipes and from fresh, simple and tasteful ingredients straight from home. In every taco from Sundance there is a bit of true Mexican culture and flavor.

Fresh, Quality Ingredients

Sundance puts emphasis on keeping our menu rooted in authentic cooking and techniques all expressed through items like fresh hand-pressed tortillas crafted with heirloom corn, house-made crema and queso fresco, as well as spicy chorizo made on site.

With a respectful nod to Mexico, Sundance boasts artful touches celebrating the vibrancy of Mexican art and painting. Inspired by famous Mexican artists.

We also have our Cantina side with a beverage program that incorporates Mexican flavors with seasonal ingredients. Come enjoy the food, have a drink and enjoy some live music as well!

Friendly Staff

Thank you to the friendly staff handing out sample wraps when I was walking by one sunny day forcing me to come back for lunch.

The variety and quality of food here is amazing. Usually when an establishment has too many menu options the dishes suffer but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Everything I have tried here has been delicious - from the paninis, to the salads, to the authentic Mexican dishes. I must say this is the first place in White Plains were the Mexican food does not taste commercialized.

The staff give you a mom & pop shop vibe, and the ambiance is cozy. They even have outdoor space in the back of the restaurant to enjoy on nicer days.

Present Almost Every Morning

I got to Sundance Kitchen almost every morning during the week. The entire staff in there knows me (the cashier always calls me Chico) and they treat me like family at this point. Without fail, whenever I call them to place an order, the cashier always recognizes my voice and knows what my order is before I even say it. An egg sandwich is pretty easy to make, but also extremely easy to mess up. I'm happy to say that sundance kitchen has amazing breakfast, and some of the best coffee in White Plains. At some point soon, I'm going to have to stop by one night to experience the "Cantina" too!

Welcomed in White Plains

This new half deli/half Mexican restuarant is soooo welcomed in White Plains.  The restuarant is on the small
Side and the other side is a deli. There is a painted Mexican themed wall mural partition wall between the deli part and the restuarant part which I found ironic lol. I think it's brilliant and I'm a fan! They have these little sweets and goodies in the front by the register that I got all giddy about.  I ordered the black bean chimichanga and my man ordered the steak fajita. The steak fajita was inadvertently not ordered. We split the chimichanga. Nice crisp burrito sized chimy. Inside cheese and beans. It came with a nice helping of rice, enough for two. I asked for the pico de galo on the side and it did not disappoint! Nice bite. We took the churros to go and rice pudding. Excellent. Real nice twist on the traditional churros. I'm literally gonna binge take order there now. 5 star just for the churros.
